Fragrance Friday | Spring Flower

Fragrance Friday | Spring Flower

At St. Eval, we create beautifully scented candles with a range of over thirty fragrances inspired by nature. For our Fragrance Friday blog this week, we’re going behind the fragrance of our uplifting Spring Flower fragrance.

Inspired by the charm of an English country garden and the enchanting floral fragrances of springtime, we crafted a scent evocative of the joy of the season, which conjures a delightful and uplifting ambience reminiscent of time spent in the beautiful outdoors.

Jasmine

Jasmine Flower

Symbolic of positivity and warmth, jasmine flowers are most commonly a delicate white hue closely associated with purity and innocence, and growing jasmine at home is said to leave you feeling relaxed. Calming for mind, body and soul, jasmine has long been used in herbal medicine to aid stress, anger, anxiety and depression. You'll also find this useful flower in a range of drinks, food and sweet treats. Traditionally popular in China, jasmine tea is perhaps one of the best known uses of jasmine; a beautifully fragrant and warming drink packed full of antioxidants, it is said to harness the healing properties of jasmine and have many health benefits.

Rose

Garden Rose

Roses are one of the most popular flowers for gifting, with a plethora of meanings from ‘congratulations’ to ‘I love you.’ They flower in a range of different hues, each one vibrant and pretty, truly uplifting any room or hedgerow and in floriography or 'the language of flowers' their different colours also come with different meanings. Roses are also the Birth Flower for June, confirming their status as a flower for the bright and joyful springtime. A staple in health and wellness for thousands of years roses are believed to contribute to a youthful glow and help to soothe our moods.

Hyacinth

Hyacinth Flower

Associated with spring and rebirth, we couldn’t craft a Spring Flower scent without including the floral green notes of hyacinth. Said to be a plant full of nutrients like antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins that are beneficial to the body, hyacinth is often used in herbal medicine to help soothe a sore throat and improve digestion. Perhaps one of the most interesting things about this gorgeous plant is its etymology; in Greek mythology the hyacinth plant was created by the god Apollo in memory of the divine hero Hyacinthus, and thus this lovely plant got its beautiful name.

This trio of fragrant flowers work together beautifully, resulting in a delightfully fragrant floral blend. To balance out these heady, feminine scents we’ve paired them with notes of citrus and musk with woody accords, complementing the floral base and creating a gorgeous harmonious aroma. Reminiscent of the fresh green scent of an English country garden, this refreshing fragrance invites spring indoors and is perfect for uplifting and brightening any space. Shop the Spring Flower range   here.
