St. Eval at No. 10 Downing Street

St. Eval at No. 10 Downing Street

We are honoured to have been invited to an exclusive Spring Showcase at No. 10 Downing Street this week, alongside nine other brilliant British businesses. We presented our range of sustainably produced, nature inspired, products to Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, alongside Cabinet Ministers and a host of VIP guests at this vibrant spring event.

Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, we feel keenly the responsibility that falls on us as a business to help protect it. Here at St. Eval, we like to tread softly on the Earth and place people and planet at the heart of all we do. Having been honoured with a 2021 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development in recognition of our commitments to sustainability, we are proud to be able to champion sustainable business practices, and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to share our passion for sustainability far and wide.

As the first candle manufacturer ever to receive a Queen’s Award we are delighted to be able to educate others about our sustainable practices, from removing single-use plastic across our ranges, to powering our candle production using sustainable energy it is important to us to get the word out about the ways we can all adapt to better care for our planet. Through shared knowledge and education we can enact real change when it comes to sustainability, and this event was a wonderful opportunity for us to raise awareness and share our sustainability ethos and message with a wider audience.

We even hosted a candle dipping experience for attendees to have a chance to create their own unique coloured candle to keep for themselves! Lots of people took part in this including Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Secretary of State for International Trade, Kwasi Kwarteng, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson!

We had a brilliant day and greatly appreciate the opportunity to share our passion for sustainability far and wide. You can find more information on our sustainable business practices on our website under the heading ‘Sustainability’: St Eval Candle Company – ST. EVAL (st-eval.com)
